Description: The point of this lesson is to show the very careful technique for problem solving required at my high school. As a student, I would have balked at the detail and care shown during this demonstration. However, I believe that this careful problem solving method makes student work readily understandable to other students and to their teacher. I also believe that the process of carefully showing every step leads to greater clarity of insight on the part of the problem solver and can highlight mistakes easily. I finally argue that students can learn to do even careful problem solving quickly after a(n admittedly painful) period of growth. This was impromptu filmed by a volunteer, so don't be mean about the camera work, please.
